Mount Taranaki Track is a 11.9 kilometer moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Inglewood, Taranaki, New Zealand that features beautiful wild flowers and is only recommended for very experienced adventurers.
The largest ski resorts offer up to 11 kilometres of slopes (Manganui – Mount Taranaki). For skiing and snowboarding, there are 10.5 km of slopes available. This popular park has more than 140 kilometres of walking tracks taking in waterfalls, native bush and scenic vantage points. It has done this so that its location and principal activity are clearly identified to the public of Sth Taranaki. As New Zealand’s most accessible mountain it proudly dominates the landscape, influences the province’s weather and provides an irresistible magnet for climbers. Wanting to take advantage of the long weekend, we decided to head up the west coast towards Mount Taranaki to attempt the famous summit track.

From May to November, the mountain is covered in snow and ice - mountaineering experience and equipment is required.
