Hinode is a Japanese solar observation probe developed and launched by ISAS/JAXA in cooperation with the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan. SOT (Solar Optical Telescope) A 0.5 meter Gregorian optical telescope with an angular resolution of about 0.2 arcsecond over the field of view of about 400 x 400 arcsec. The development of the three telescopes was carried out in international cooperation with the US (NASA) and the UK (STFC). Now it’s available through Hutech worldwide. Hinode’s Solar Optical Telescope is the first space-borne instrument to measure the strength and direction of the Sun’s magnetic field on the Sun’s surface, the photosphere.
